The CMCMUA Paint Program was developed to make it easy and convenient for you to dispose of leftover paint. You may bring all your leftover paint, Latex and Oil Based, to the CMCMUA Program. |

WHO: Paint is accepted from Cape May County residents, businesses, institutions, municipalities and non-profit agencies. WHAT: Oil Based and Water Based (latex) paints and finishes. NOT ACCEPTED: Paint cleaners, thinners, turpentine and the like. WHERE: The paint drop-off building is at the CMCMUA’s Transfer Station on Shunpike Rd. (Rte. 620) in Burleigh, Middle Township Note: The Paint Program operates only at the Transfer Station, Not at the Landfill in Woodbine.
WHEN: Paint is accepted during normal operating hours. 7:30 am to 2:30 pm Mon to Fri, and 8:00 am to 12 noon Sat. HOW: Customers bring left over paint to the Transfer Station and must stop at the weigh master window. Deliveries must meet the following conditions: · Paint must be in its original container. · Containers must be closed. · Customers must know how many cans they are delivering. FEE: $1.00 per one (1) gallon container or $10.00 per five (5) gallon container. Smaller cans and aerosol paint cans are free. Customers with more than 30 cans of any size must call for an appointment. Empty cans regardless of what type of paint or solvent they held, should be placed in the regular trash. Acceptable Latex Paint, Oil Based Paint Stains, Varnishes, Enamels, Shellacs, Lacquers, Polyurethane, Wood & Masonry Sealers, Wood Preservatives, Boat Bottom Paint, Aerosol paint cans Non Acceptable Turpentine, Benzene, Paint thinners, Paint Cleaners, Solvents, Pesticides, Herbicides, Other Household Hazardous Waste
Items listed as non acceptable for the Paint Program should be left in their original containers and stored in a cool dry area until the next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day. |
