Used Motor Oil Recycling

To recycle used motor oil, collect it in a reusable container with a tight fitting lid.  Ask your local automotive service station about acceptance of small quantities of used motor oil or, call your municipal recycling office to ask about curbside collection or municipal drop off location, or simply bring it to the CMCMUA Sanitary Landfill or the CMCMUA Transfer Station. Used Motor Oil Filter Recycling

To recycle used motor oil filters, allow the motor oil to drain from the filter then bring it to the Cape May County MUA Transfer Station or Sanitary Landfill. (Free for residents)  Businesses and municipalities that generate used oil filters should call the Cape May County MUA for a list of companies that collect and recycle used motor oil filters.  Want to know more? click here

 

Used Antifreeze Recycling

To recycle used antifreeze, collect it in a container with a tight fitting lid. Bring it to the Cape May County MUA Transfer Station or Sanitary Landfill. (Free for residents) Businesses and municipalities that generate waste antifreeze should call the Cape May County MUA for a list of companies that collect and recycle antifreeze.

 

CMCMUA Drop off Locations

You can bring used motor oil, used motor oil filters and antifreeze to the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority. We accept up to 3 gallons per day of used motor oil and antifreeze free of charge from County residents.  We also accept up to 3 used motor oil filters per day from County residents free of charge.
