May 2009 - NJDEP will no longer allow vehicles with passenger-commercial license plates and registration to receive NJDEP decals required for the disposal of solid waste. For more information, please see the attached customer advisory issued by the Authority. Please also be advised that the CMCMUA is no longer authorized to assist solid waste customers with NJDEP vehicle registrations. Only the NJDEP is currently providing this service. Please contact the NJDEP at 609-584-4218 as noted in the customer advisory or e-mail this person Lou.Casadei@dep.state.nj.us for registration assistance. |

Recycling – Stay The Course January 2009 – The Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority is continuing to successfully process and market recyclable materials collected from municipalities, businesses, and institutions throughout Cape May County. Although markets for recycled materials have recently experienced a rapid price decline which has caused some municipalities and counties, on a nationwide basis, to consider suspending recycling collections or stockpiling collected materials, Cape May County’s regional recycling program is both able and fully committed to continued program operation. Cape May County MUA - Hazard Mitigation Planning Partner Cape May County and its 16 municipalities are developing an action plan to reduce losses in the event of natural disasters, and become eligible to receive federal grant funding for hazard mitigation projects.
