The Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority announces its Spring Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day! This event will be held at the CMCMUA Transfer Station in Burleigh, NJ, Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

Cape May County residents can get a head start on fall cleaning by properly disposing of household hazardous wastes such as: thinners and solvents, cleaning products, gasoline and other flammable liquids, auto products, pesticides and herbicides, glues and adhesives, photographic chemicals, mercury containing items, and pool chemicals.  Quantities up to 25 gallons and/or 100 pounds will be accepted free while quantities above these limits will be charged $5.00 per wet gallon or $5.00 per dry pound.  Quantity limits are per vehicle, not per customer.  Materials should be brought to the Transfer Station in original containers.

Residents and businesses are reminded that the Authority has programs available daily to recycle paint, motor oil, and antifreeze.  Paint, motor oil, oil filters, and antifreeze should not be brought to Household Hazardous Waste Day.
