Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day Summary - May 13, 2017

The Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority (“Authority”) conducted Cape May County’s 58th Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day on Saturday May 13, 2017 at the Authority’s Transfer Station in Burleigh.  Radiac Research Corporation, Inc., an experienced leader in the handling and disposal of household hazardous waste and the Authority’s partner in the event, packaged and disposed of nearly 8,050 pounds or 4.03 tons of household hazardous material.  Through the 58 Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day events, over 1 Million pounds or 533 tons of potentially hazardous waste has been diverted from being disposed of in the Authority’s Sanitary Landfill.
