Results from the 61st Household Hazardous Waste Day!

The Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority (“Authority”) conducted Cape May County’s 61st Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Authority’s Sanitary Landfill in Woodbine, NJ.  Care Environmental, Inc., an experienced leader in the handling and disposal of household hazardous waste and the Authority’s partner in the event, packaged and disposed of 5,481 pounds or 2.74 tons of household hazardous material.  Through the 61 Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day events, over 1 Million pounds or 547 tons of potentially hazardous waste has been diverted from being disposed of in the Authority’s Sanitary Landfill.HHWDsept15.JPG
