Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority

Wastewater Force Main Replacement Project

Bay Ave, Ocean City, NJ

Update #9 - Week 10/28/19 through 11/1/19

Active work:

As of the end of the day (Friday 10/25/19), the Contractor will have installed pipe, backfilled the trench, and temporary paved up to the intersection of 29th and Bay Ave.

On Monday 10/28/19, work will continue to move North on Bay Ave between 29th and 28th streets. It is expected that one crew will be working in this area for the duration of the week.

Over the weekend (10/26 - 10/27) Bay Ave will be opened to traffic with a lane shift at the terminus of work at 29th and Bay so as to avoid equipment and materials.

During the week of 10/28 - 11/1 Bay Ave will be closed between 34th and 24th streets. Traffic detours will be established to divert motorists to West Ave. The picture below depicts the North and South traffic pattern to be followed. Drivers are urged to obey all established traffic patterns.
