Job Description:

The Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority in Cape May County, New Jersey is seeking a qualified, dedicated, dependable professional to join their Solid Waste team to oversee the operation of a 1,000 ton/day landfill, a 600 ton/day transfer station, a wood recycling facility and a leaf composting facility in accordance with local, state and federal environmental regulations. Specific duties shall include, but not be limited to, monitoring the activities at the facilities to ensure that the operations are in compliance with regulatory requirements and are operating efficiently and effectively; prepare and maintain annual budgets; prepare written technical specifications for the purchase of various types of heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, recycling equipment and LFG management equipment; prepare purchase requisitions for services and materials; and assist the Solid Waste Program Manager in preparing operation plans, cost evaluations, and permit applications.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in civil, sanitary or environmental engineering, or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 5 years' experience in solid waste management, public works and/or heavy construction and a minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
Equivalent combination of experience, education and training may be considered. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and must be a New Jersey resident within one year of employment with Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority.

Salary range is $96,452 to $146,068 depending on level of experience.
